It’s no secret, being a Black Man, better yet, being Black in general, in America is not easy. This is a country that was built on the backs of our ancestors, and at the same time, we were punished for it. In an era where our race is our biggest and most dangerous weapon, we as a people still attempt to rise above it. Sometimes we win, other times, not so much. But we always, ALWAYS, REMEMBER. So, in honor of Juneteenth, I released this photo series to showcase that it does not matter how polished, educated, dressed up, well-mannered, etc. we are, we are STILL this country’s most dangerous weapon. Ironically, we are one they cannot control, no matter how hard they try. This series is to convey just how far we’ve come, and hopefully, how far we still have to go.
