About
Make the impossible, POSSIBLE....
Whomever said girls can't do it all has never met Kamarah "AKila K." Rice. A graduate of Delaware State University with a B.A. in Mass Communications, the 26-year-old Brooklyn, NY native now resides in Long Island, NY. Kamarah has always been musically inclined, playing the piano, drums, and steelpan (a Caribbean instrument originating in Trinidad & Tobago). From songwriting, rapping, and singing, Kamarah began dabbling in the art of Audio Editing and Engineering while still in high school. Using programs such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro X, Kamarah soon realized that this was the trade she needed to pursue in college.
While in college, Kamarah took an interest in a new form of art; the visual arts. From there, her practice and use of the Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro X came into play. She honed her skills by creating flyers, logos, and promo videos for various campus organizations. During her final semester of college, she took a Photography and Graphic Design class, utilizing the time to work on new projects. Conducting many grad, professional, and event photoshoots, she began to refer to her camera as her "third arm". She also shot and edited the special guest interviews for Delaware State University's radio station, "The Hive". Kamarah then ventured out and created logos for local businesses and entrepreneurs. She was fortunate enough to create a flyer for the one and only BET Networks and Social Media Personality Hennessy Carolina. Known as a "Jane-of-All-Trades", Kamarah is working tirelessly to ensure that she, in the midst of knowing many trades, is indeed a master at all of them as well.
